Specialist physio services

Musculoskeletal Injury Management

We treat various musculoskeletal injuries, which include damage to muscles, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues. Causes range from trauma and overuse to improper technique and repetitive strain. Common injuries are sprains, strains, fractures, tendonitis, bursitis, dislocations, and stress fractures. Symptoms often include pain, swelling, stiffness, weakness, restricted movement, and difficulty with weight-bearing activities.

Laryngeal Manual Therapy

We offer specialized laryngeal manual therapy for voice-related symptoms like muscle tension dysphonia, pre-nodular edema, vocal fold nodules, and globus pharyngeus. Vocal workload and posture can cause muscle tension, reducing vocal fold movement and causing symptoms like reduced range and vocal fatigue. Our therapy includes soft tissue release and passive stretches tailored to improve vocal fold mobility.

Vocal Physiotherapy

In addition to Laryngeal Manual Therapy, we assess jaw symmetry, support patterns, and neck and back posture. Clinicians often use real-time ultrasound analysis of abdominal muscles while you sing to ensure optimal support patterns. Correcting faults ensures safe, consistent subglottic pressure, promoting long-term vocal health. This treatment benefits not only singers and actors but also professional voice users like teachers, sales reps, and media presenters.

Manual therapy

Manual therapy is a hands-on approach to treat and prevent musculoskeletal conditions by manipulating muscles, joints, and soft tissues. Techniques like joint mobilization, massage, stretching, and exercises alleviate pain, improve range of motion, and enhance function. Integrated into treatment plans, manual therapy restores biomechanics, promotes healing, and prevents future injuries.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Trigger point dry needling targets musculoskeletal pain by inserting thin needles into specific trigger points within muscle tissue. These points, linked with muscle tension, are stimulated to release tension and enhance muscle function through localized twitch responses. Unlike acupuncture, dry needling solely addresses musculoskeletal issues without affecting energy flow along meridians. The 'dry' method excludes medication injection, setting it apart from other injection-based therapies.
